One year ago today, 17 year old Brittney walked out of the Family Dollar Store in Jennings never to be seen alive again; sometime after 5:30 pm that day, she was abducted. Thirteen agonizing days passed as her family and a concerned public held out hope that Brittney was safe and would be located soon. Sadly, on November 15, 2008 her deceased body was found in a grassy area just outside of Jennings. These 13 burning candles represent the 13 days she was missing. Please keep Brittney’s family in your thoughts and prayers in the coming days.

May God bless and comfort you. This has been a horrible year for you and yet you have survived, thanks to the prayers of many people. I did not know Brittney but she is a beautiful girl. May your comfort come from the many good memories you have of her.
Thanks you guys and especially to g8trgirl for those 13 candles. Yesterday was a rough day and I’m sure this whole month will be hard for us. I know myself that I think about her everyday and I often see little girls in town that remind me of her when she was younger. I have to look twice sometimes. Thank u all again for your many prayers and comments. I Love You Brittney Ann….Love NAY-NAY
